Assistance for Seniors
The Orange County Social Services Agency manages two programs that aim to help senior citizens with fixed incomes remain at home.
In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS)
These are for seniors and other adults eligible for disability insurance or similar public-assistance programs who need domestic help to remain safely in their homes. Services include house cleaning, cooking, shopping, help with bathing and dressing, and protective supervision.
Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP)
This program provides a higher level of services to seniors who receive Medi-Cal and suffer from disabilities or health problems that make them eligible for placement in a nursing facility. The need may chronic or short-term. Clients receive and assessment of their social and health needs, help planning for and arranging care, and regular visits from social workers and nurses. MSSP clients are usually eligible for IHSS.

Caregiver Registry
Homemaking Programs help seniors at home by providing basic housekeeping and personal care services. Contact Feedback Foundation, Inc. at (714) 220-0834.
Case Management
Professional personnel will assess the needs of frail and homebound seniors determining areas in which they need assistance in order to maintain independence. Seniors are then linked to community resources.
